Dr Alfie Dimalanta is the principal chiropractor and owner of Point Cook Chiropractic Health & Wellness Centre and Meadows Life Chiropractic Health & Wellness Centre. He has been a chiropractor since 2003 and graduated from the prestigious RMIT College of Chiropractic in Bundoora, Victoria. His first practice opened in 2004 and was in South Yarra, called Chiropractic@TheComo. The practice served people from all walks of life: families, celebrities, athletes and leaders of industry.
When the opportunity came up to open a family practice in Point Cook in 2008, he opened up Point Cook Chiropractic Health & Wellness Centre. We opened our doors in August 2008 at the same time as the Point Cook Town Centre grand opening.
The opportunity for growth came up in 2018 with Meadows Life Chiropractic Health & Wellness Centre.
Chiropractic Techniques
Dr. Alfie practices both manual and low-force techniques to suit the comfort of his clients and provide the best possible results to align the spine. These include:
- Diversified Technique: The traditional style of manual chiropractic care using hands to deliver the adjustment,
- Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT): A low-force technique and system of analysis that uses blocks under the pelvis to gently deliver the chiropractic adjustment,
- Activator: A low-force technique that utilises an instrument (affectionately known as ‘The Clicker’) that gently delivers a gentle, measured force into the spine,
- Thompson Drop Technique: A method of analysis and low-force chiropractic technique that uses special ‘drop pieces’ on the chiropractic table to deliver the adjustment.
Contribution to the Profession and the Community
Dr Alfie is a member of the Australian Chiropractors Association (ACA, previously known as Chiropractors Association of Australia) and volunteered his time in giving back to the profession by serving in the Membership Services and Student Liaison Committee. He has been a member since 2003 and continues to uphold the CAA’s standards of practice and conduct.
Dr Alfie is passionate about health education and assisting his practice members discover, achieve and enhance their wellness goals. He speaks regularly to businesses, schools and community groups about health, wellbeing and the benefits of living a chiropractic lifestyle. He constantly updates his professional education by attending seminars locally and overseas, hearing from the foremost leaders in the chiropractic and wellness fields.
A fanatic about health, Dr Alfie enjoys running, swimming, cycling, and basketball. You may even find him training at the local gym. He receives regular chiropractic adjustments to ensure that he functions at his optimum.

Outside of the office, he stays busy by participating in his local church, tending to his backyard, and going through life’s wonderful journey with his wife, Yvonne, and their two kids, Yvette and Mason.
